What you would be doing
In the IDF, different armored fighting vehicles handle different battlefield jobs. You get certified on two platforms: Puma, the combat engineering corps' vehicle for breaching obstacles and minefields, and Achzarit, an armored vehicle armed with a remote-controlled weapon station and machine guns for a range of battlefield tasks. You keep the electrical systems on both vehicles running and ready.
What it takes to get in
Profile 64. For women — Yom Ha-MEA scores: field environment 2 and above, operational technical 3 and above.
Training
Basic training 02, then a 6-week course at Bahad 20.
Where you serve
In engineering battalions, regional brigades, the national Tana formation, emergency depot units, and development and training units.
