What you would be doing

This is the general gateway into Arabic-language intelligence work — you're spotted and screened while still in high school, from students in Arabic-language tracks. From there you're assigned to a specific track (Reshef, Kedem, Almog, the Translation Ulpan and others), but they share a common core: deep study of Arabic and the Middle East, and gathering and analyzing intelligence. It calls for a genuine interest in the language and the region, the ability to absorb information fast, and staying level-headed under pressure. Service runs on an 11-days-on, 3-days-home rotation.

Dapar 50 and above, profile 25 and above, 5 study units of Arabic and above. Calls for a real affinity for the language and Middle East culture, fast information absorption and composure under pressure.

Training

Where you serve

Closed bases around the country, 11-on/3-off rotation.
