What you would be doing
You work in a classified Intelligence Corps unit on the computing side — IT, hardware, software, networks, and information systems — supporting the unit's own intelligence people. You'll need existing IT knowledge, the ability to take a computer apart and put it back together, some basic programming, and a real interest in computers. The unit is open and based in central Israel, though the hours run long.
What it takes to get in
A STEM ('realistic') track in high school. Requires passing a general Aman assessment (Chaman), a professional interview, and a psychologist's evaluation. Women taking the course must sign Form 16A.
Training
A handover period with the unit, or a 10-week course at Bahad 15.
Where you serve
An open unit in central Israel, with long working hours; course participants start on a closed base before placement.
What it is worth afterwards
You come away with real hands-on IT experience — building and maintaining computers, networks, and systems.
