What you would be doing
This is the Intelligence Corps' flagship program: you serve as career military while earning a bachelor's degree in political science and Middle Eastern studies, combined with one of these analytical fields — computer science, math, data science, economics or philosophy. About 60 cadets are recruited each year after a rigorous selection process, trained to become the corps' leading intelligence officers on issues at the top of the national and military agenda. Alongside your academic studies you get unique intelligence training in every collection method — SIGINT, VISINT, HUMINT — plus an officers' course. After training, graduates serve six years of career service in core Intelligence Corps roles.
What it takes to get in
Profile 25 and above, passing the initial Shchakim-track selection with a Havatzalot follow-up score, and a psychometric score above 650. Requires signing on for 6 years of career service.
Training
3 years: basic training 03, dual-major studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, officers' courses (Bahad 1) and various intelligence training.
Where you serve
Open and closed Aman bases around the country.
What it is worth afterwards
A ready-made bachelor's degree is a real asset in civilian life.
