What you would be doing
You master the bits and bytes of computers and digital media. You know how to image any computer, phone, camera or storage device and pull out both existing and deleted data from it. Digital forensics uses advanced technological tools and gives a major force multiplier to Israel Police field units, helping thwart and prevent crime both online and offline. The sheer volume of the work makes this a leading role in the field.
What it takes to get in
Men — profile 64 and below, women — profile 45 and above, Dapar 50 and above. Yom Ha-MEA scores (women only): management and organization 2 and above, guidance 2 and above, information processing 3 and above.
Training
Basic training 02 and about three weeks of adapted professional training in the police roles course.
