This booklet presents the 40 academic courses in the First Semester in High School program for 2025/26–2026/27.
The education system will enable every student, at no cost, to reach their full potential and develop their skills, and to enter academia while still in high school, with an emphasis on students from the social and geographic periphery who cannot afford it and for whom academia is unfamiliar.
Replaces part of the bagrut: The academic course will serve as a partial alternative to the bagrut in the chosen subject.
Accumulating credit points toward a university degree: The credit points are awarded by the university where the student studies (depending on the scope of the courses taken).

Starting in 9th grade, students can choose from a variety of study programs offered by The Open University of Israel, and even replace some of their school studies and bagrut exams with academic courses.

The Youth and Science Unit runs a program for high-school students that allows them to take courses at the Technion while still in high school.

The Faculty for High-School Students offers academic courses to students who want to enter academia and earn academic credit toward a degree.

At Bar-Ilan University, gifted and outstanding high school students take classes according to an academic schedule while continuing their high school studies.
