Namer Electronic Systems Technician

Namer was developed in 2008 to replace the APC with a protected vehicle carrying some of the IDF's most advanced electronics, optics, attack and defense systems. It carries a crew of 11 and escorts infantry through battle, protecting them through the whole maneuver and even extracting them if hit — so keeping its systems working matters for their lives. You train on its electronic and optical systems, learning to locate and solve faults on systems like Katlanit (attack) and Meil Ruach (active defense), working alongside developers from Elbit, Rafael and Israel Aerospace Industries.

In the infantry battalions of the Golani and Givati brigades, in engineering battalions, the national Tana formation, and development and training units.

You work alongside developers from Elbit, Rafael and Israel Aerospace Industries — companies where graduates can find work after service.
