What you would be doing
You detect tunnels dug from Gaza into Israeli territory and guide combat soldiers to the tunnel's location so it can be destroyed. The role involves analyzing output from seismic sensors — initial detection happens from the division operations room, after which you work alongside soldiers in the field as the technical expert operating a mobile detection system.
What it takes to get in
Profile 64 and above, Kaba 49 and above. Yom Ha-MEA scores (women only): guidance 3 and above, management and organization 2 and above, information processing 4 and above, technical operation 2 and above, sustained attention 3 and above.
Training
Four weeks of basic training 02, followed by training with Elbit and further training at the unit.
