Through a preparatory program

Admission based on a pre-academic mechina graduate certificate

  • Graduates of pre-academic mechinot will be required to submit their mechina certificate. Whether they meet the admission requirements will be assessed according to the type of mechina and the subjects it includes.

Special track

Admission based on psychometric score or bagrut average / admission based on suitability score(our wording)

  • Applicants with a suitability score between 79 and 80 will be admitted conditionally.

Special track

Missing grades on the bagrut certificate

  • If you passed the exams in most bagrut subjects, with no more than 2 subjects remaining, you may register for studies provided you submit official confirmation that you are registered for the bagrut exams in those subjects in Session A this coming summer, including the subject grade and number of units. The admissions committee will decide whether you can be admitted based on your results on the psychometric exam or TIL test. You will be admitted on a conditional admission basis until you become eligible for a bagrut certificate.

Special track

12th-grade students

  • 12th-grade students will be required to submit their 11th- and 12th-grade report cards, as well as the bagrut exam grades they have received. Based on this information, a provisional bagrut profile will be calculated and the feasibility of admission will be assessed. An applicant who is a 12th-grade student and completes all stages of the admissions process successfully may be admitted on the condition that they submit eligibility for a full bagrut certificate by the end of the first semester of the first year.

Special track

Exceptional admission

  • Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements but meet the criterion for exceptional admission may be referred for discussion by the admissions committee. The application will be reviewed, and the applicant will receive a response. If the application is approved by the committee, admission to the program will be conditional. The committee may admit no more than 10% of applicants as exceptional cases.

Admission requirements for practical engineers completing a bachelor's degree

  • If you have a practical engineer diploma with an average of 75 or higher (or 85 or higher in the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science), you may complete a bachelor's degree in the field you studied, provided you present eligibility for a bagrut certificate or an equivalent certificate, meet the mathematics admission requirements for the relevant department, and submit an English level placement score.
  • Diploma average of 75 or higher (85 or higher for computer science departments)
  • Mathematics at 4 bagrut units with a grade of 80 or higher
  • English Level Placement
  • You may also declare that you will provide confirmation of eligibility by the end of the first semester. In this case, you may be granted conditional admission or admission based on a suitability score. You must present the confirmation of eligibility for the certificate by the specified date; otherwise, the credits will be canceled and your continuation of studies will be reconsidered.
  • For the Electronics or Electro-Optics department, a psychometric score or TIL test score of 600 or higher will also be required, depending on your diploma details
  • When applying to the Electronic Engineering department or the Electro-Optics Engineering department (at the Lev campus), admission is based on bagrut grades and calculation of a suitability score, and is subject to a psychometric exam or TIL test, depending on your details.

Previous academic background

  • If you studied at a recognized academic institution and completed a full academic year (about 30 credit points) with an average of 85 or higher (or 75 or higher in the Faculty of Management), you may apply to study in a department parallel to the one you studied in. Your application will be considered based on your psychometric score or TIL test and the number of courses you completed.

These are minimum requirements: meeting them does not by itself guarantee admission.
