You can be admitted through one of these tracks:

Regular track

Architecture suitability score

  • (Based on – 50% suitability score* and – 50% placement test score) meets the admission threshold.
  • The suitability score* is calculated by weighting the bagrut average (or: the mechina average, or a foreign high-school diploma equivalent to an Israeli bagrut certificate) and the psychometric score, or alternatively a bachelor's degree from an academic institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education and the psychometric score, whichever of the 2 is higher.

Admission to an Advanced Year

  • The admissions committee may approve the admission of an applicant who studied architecture at another academic institution in Israel or abroad that is recognized by the Council for Higher Education, to an advanced year of study up to the third year, provided that they have completed at least 1 full academic year in good academic standing and meet all the University's general registration requirements and all the School of Architecture's registration requirements for the first year, including the mathematics grade requirements and the psychometric score specified above.
  • An applicant's admission to an advanced year of study depends on their grades at the academic institution where they studied, the curriculum of that faculty, and its teaching method. Everything is subject to the number of places available at the School.

These are minimum requirements: meeting them does not by itself guarantee admission.

  • An architectural screening test is required
  • A score above 550 on the psychometric exam
  • Mathematics knowledge: a bagrut grade of 70 or higher at 5 units, or a bagrut grade of 80 or higher at 4 units, or a bagrut grade of 90 or higher at 3 units

What you study

You can open an independent practice or join an existing one. With a degree in architecture from Tel Aviv University, you can also work in the public sector, for example in planning departments in local government, local councils and national planning institutions.

The degree provides knowledge in the planning and construction of buildings of various scales, from master plans for communities, planning and rehabilitation of residential neighborhoods, and planning and design of buildings of different sizes and uses, to interior design and furniture. Planning takes into account the need to maintain a balance between aesthetics, durability, and functionality, as well as cultural, social, psychological, environmental, economic, and legal aspects.
