What you study
The program aims to provide the broad and in-depth knowledge base needed to advance biomedical research. This is Israel’s—and indeed the world’s—pool of talent for biomedical research at universities, research institutes, hospitals, and, of course, in the medical industry.
Biology studies the living world, the behavior of living organisms, the composition of living organisms, and the relationships among them and with the environment in which they live. The curriculum combines theoretical studies with practical laboratory experience. Topics covered in the degree include plant sciences, biochemistry, biophysics, ecology, and physics, as well as anatomy, genetics, botany, evolution, ecology, microbiology, the study and preservation of the human environment, statistics and probability, cell structure, and more.
