What you study

Economics is a field of knowledge in the social sciences that deals with all human activity aimed at obtaining the material means people need for their existence and well-being. The field is divided into 2 main areas: microeconomics, which deals with the problems of individuals—producers, markets and consumers—and macroeconomics, which deals with processes in the economy as a whole. A degree in economics combines theoretical knowledge of mathematical and economic models with practical tools that enable graduates to understand and analyze various economic issues, including unemployment, inflation, recession, crises, foreign currency issues and exchange rates, foreign trade, statistical analysis and more.
