Admission requirements
For every track
- At-home assignment: You will be asked to prepare an assignment in advance, which will be sent with your application.
- Portfolio presentation: When you arrive for the admissions tests, you will be asked to arrange a display of your work, along with the at-home assignment you prepared in advance.
- Introductory and suitability interview: During the portfolio presentation, we will get to know you and your work, your way of thinking and expression, your expectations of studying jewelry design at Shenkar, and how well suited you are to studying in the department.
- Applicants to a bachelor's degree program must demonstrate proficiency in Hebrew.

What you study
Jewelry making and design studies explore the connection between an object and the body, and between one material and another, with consideration for culture and the environment. The studies focus not only on jewelry design, but also take a broader look at the environment around the body; some institutions also include fashion, shoe and bag design, and more. The curriculum includes theoretical and practical courses covering every stage of creation, from developing ideas and planning through prototyping, learning traditional production skills and current technologies, to the final implementation.
