The department reserves the right to consider applicants who do not meet the admission requirements through exceptional admission, subject to a limit of up to 10% of the admission quota, in accordance with Council for Higher Education guidelines. Each case will be reviewed individually by the departmental admissions committee.

Applicants with previous academic records from a recognized institution

Applicants with previous academic records from a recognized institution totaling 10 credit points, and with an average of at least 70, will be referred to the admissions committee for a decision.
Eligibility for a bagrut certificate is required.

Studies at The Open University of Israel

Studies at The Open University of Israel totaling at least 30 credit points, with an average of 70, will allow the applicant's candidacy to be considered without requiring eligibility for a bagrut certificate.

30+ mechina

Referral to the “30+ mechina”; upon completing it, they may be admitted to the department based on an average of at least 75.

These are minimum requirements: meeting them does not by itself guarantee admission.

For every track

A Yael exam score of at least 120, for applicants who completed high school where the language of instruction was not Hebrew, and/or took the psychometric exam in a language other than Hebrew. Those with a score of 110–119 may be admitted through the “Semester Admission” track and will be required to register for a Hebrew course, “Scientific Reading and Writing,” and complete it with a grade of 75 by the end of the first semester.
