What you study

As part of the specialization, we provide students with the foundation they need to work in biotechnology in industry, scientific development, management and marketing, and excellent preparation for advanced studies—a master's degree and a PhD.

The degree provides knowledge in basic science alongside practical agricultural knowledge, including innovations in biotechnology, genetics, and molecular biology, while raising awareness of environmental conservation and the value of nature and landscapes. The curriculum includes foundational courses in scientific subjects and specialization in plant sciences: biology, ecology, biotechnology, genetics and plant breeding, field crops, orchards and ornamental plants, ecology and the environment with an emphasis on agricultural plants and open-space management (forests, grazing land), tree biology, cell biology, grain, seed, and dried-food preservation biology, plant physiology, natural grazing systems, and more.
