What you would be doing
You serve in the Border Police, working across the country to prevent and thwart terror attacks, patrol city centers and crowded areas, fight serious crime and deal with illegal residents. You work with technology, weapons and various vehicles — jeeps, ATVs and motorcycles, sometimes undercover.
What it takes to get in
Profile 82 and above for men (or 72 with a permitting condition), or 82 and above for women. BMI 17–32. Placement requires an occupational-fit approval from the Israel Police's information-security unit.
Training
Tironut 05, about 16 weeks, including police training.
Where you serve
In Border Police units across the country, including routine-security companies, Border Police reconnaissance units (Yasmag), undercover units (Yamas), and the tactical brigade.
