Dedicated Officer Track, COGAT

You're on the fast track to becoming a coordination and liaison officer for COGAT, the body that runs Israel's civil and security coordination in the territories. You start with tironut, then an eight-week professional course, about 3.5 months of hands-on experience in the field, a senior-NCO course, officers' course, and a final soldier-completion phase — about a year in total from enlistment to earning your officer rank.

Profile 45 and above, Dapar 60 and above, and successfully passing a pre-military selection day. For women — Yom Ha-MEA: instruction 2 and above, command 2 and above.

Tironut 02; an eight-week professional course at the Coordination and Liaison School (Camp Gidonim, Tzrifin); about 3.5 months of field experience in Judea and Samaria or the Gaza Coordination and Liaison Administration; a roughly three-week senior-NCO course; a ten-week officers' course at Bahad 1 (awarding platoon-commander insignia); and a roughly fourteen-week soldier-completion phase (awarding second-lieutenant rank).

At unit bases in Judea and Samaria, the Gaza Coordination and Liaison Administration, COGAT headquarters in the Kirya, and the Coordination and Liaison School at Tzrifin.
