Dedicated Officer Track, Technology and Maintenance Corps

This is the fastest route to becoming an officer: basic training, a professional course, a stint of hands-on experience in units around the country, officer training, soldier-completion training, and finally your rank. As an officer in the Technology and Maintenance Corps you study advanced technology and how it's integrated and maintained across IDF units, covering everything from vehicles and weapons to optics, missiles and the Merkava Mk4 tank — in exchange for signing on for an extra year of career service (keva).

Profile 45 and above, Dapar 60 and above. For women — Yom Ha-MEA scores: instruction 2 and above, command 2 and above, management and organization 2 and above.

A roughly two-month professional course, then a 4-month attachment to operational units, followed by a 10-week officer course and 3 months of soldier-completion training.

In IDF field units, as a technology-and-maintenance platoon commander in various battalions.
