What you would be doing
You're a fighter in an unusual unit that combines real combat training with work in mechatronics, robotics and computers. After training, you apply your technical skills in practice — on a closed base in central Israel or in a changing combat environment.
What it takes to get in
Profile 82 and above, Dapar 60 and above, at least 4 units of mathematics, and a background track in mechatronics, robotics or computers. Yom Ha-MEA scores: training environment and teamwork 3+.
Training
About a year and two months: combat tironut 05 (for men, at an infantry brigade's training base; for women, at the Home Front Command's training base), then a combat phase completing rifleman level 07 with many weeks in the field.
Where you serve
At a closed base in central Israel or in a changing operational environment.
What it is worth afterwards
Practical experience in mechatronics, robotics and computers.
