What you would be doing

You serve in one of the artillery corps' fire units — 155mm gun crews, rocket-launcher crews (MLRS), drone reconnaissance, radar target-acquisition, or the classified precision-fire units Moran and Rochev Shamayim. You take part in planning and executing strikes, working in sync with maneuvering forces, everything from fighter jets to mortars, to shape operational plans against the enemy.

What it takes to get in

Profile 72 and above; special units require 82 and above. BMI: 17–35. Women must pass the female-combat-soldier selection and commit to serve as long as men do, including active reserve duty.

Training

Basic training 03 at the Artillery Corps training base (special units require rifle training 04), then up to four months of advanced professional training depending on your assigned role.
