What you would be doing
Yahalom is a special-missions engineering unit inside the Engineering Corps, with four companies each handling a different specialty: Samur (tunnels and hideouts), the bomb-disposal company, Yael (special engineering missions, engineering intelligence and demolitions), and Midron Mushlag (breaching buildings with engineering means).
What it takes to get in
Profile 82 and above and Dapar 50 and above. Placement runs through a pre-military assessment on the recon-unit model — a candidate interview week for those who passed the assessment but didn't make it through the pilot, General Staff, Shayetet, or naval-officer/submarine gibush — or through selection after the Engineering Corps gibush.
Training
Rifleman tironut 05 (4 months), then advanced training completing rifleman level 06 (4 months).
