What you would be doing

You maintain the electrical systems of the Merkava tank (marks 3 and 4) and the Namer APC — tracing and fixing faults in batteries and other electrical systems and keeping the vehicle ready to operate. The Namer also serves as an engineering vehicle, fitted with a bulldozer blade or a bridge-laying attachment.

Technology track, profile 64.

Training

5 weeks, plus 4 weeks of specialization.

In armored battalions, heavy-infantry units, the national armored-vehicle maintenance network, emergency-stock units, and development and training units.

What it is worth afterwards

A ready-made trade as a heavy-vehicle electrician.
