Military Journalist — IDF Spokesperson Unit

You cover the army's activity — its units, commanders and soldiers — for the IDF's official website. You go out to the field, cover special events and exercises, join drills, interview soldiers and officers, and write articles on an ongoing, professional basis.

Profile 25 and above, Dapar 70 and above, and a successful pre-military selection. Not open to men designated for combat.

Basic training 02, then about two months of a spokesperson-professions course covering communications, lectures from senior professionals, simulations and drills, plus attachments to different desks in the unit and specific training for running social media.

The unit's base at Camp Aviv, or the headquarters of the Navy or Air Force at the Kirya.

Broad knowledge of communications and spokesperson work that's useful in civilian life too.
