What you would be doing
This is a catch-all title for the jobs in the IDF's filming units, which make announcements, clips, image films and instructional videos. You could end up as a producer, editor, scriptwriter, researcher, photographer, graphic designer or animator.
What it takes to get in
Profile 25 and above; prior knowledge of film or photography is an advantage. Open only to men and women not designated for combat. Yom Ha-MEA marks (women only): technical operation 2 and above, management and organization 2 and above.
Training
Basic training 02, then a training period of several months that varies by unit.
Where you serve
Various filming units on IDF bases.
What it is worth afterwards
A portfolio and real film/video experience valued in civilian life.
