What you would be doing
This is a study track for 12th-grade girls who want to break into Israel's tech industry. You start with post-high-school studies leading to a technician's diploma, in electronics, computers or aviation mechanics, funded 80% by the Air Force at one of three colleges. After you enlist, you're placed in the Air Force's technical corps, which maintains and develops the corps' technological systems, with the chance to try out for special tracks within it.
What it takes to get in
Open to women graduates of any study track, mostly without a technical background.
Training
Two years of college studies, then basic training 02 and a 2-to-4-month professional course, at the School of Technical Professions in Haifa.

Studies at one of three colleges around the country.
What it is worth afterwards
A technician-engineer diploma and experience with advanced technology — a ready-made civilian trade.
