What you would be doing

You teach soldiers to shoot — personal weapons, sniper rifles, or machine guns. Your work directly shapes how sharp combat units are, since you train them and then keep them qualified all the way to their discharge from reserve duty. Instruction happens in the field in front of fairly large groups, so you need real teaching ability and confidence.

What it takes to get in

Profile 72 and above, Dapar 40 and above. Yom Ha-MEA: Technical operation 4+, Instruction 4+, Interpersonal skills 3+, Command 3+, Teamwork 3+, Sustained attention 3+, Maturity 3+.

Training

Tironut 02, then a shooting-instructor course — personal weapons, sniper rifles, or machine guns — at the Adam base, 15 weeks.

Where you serve

Shooting units at every ground-forces training base, training recruits, advanced trainees, commanders, and reservists alike.
