What you would be doing
You check the quality of the IDF's computer systems and make sure they don't have bugs that could let them down in a real situation. You write and run test scripts, find and document bugs, do a little JavaScript coding, and work with databases and automation tools like Selenium and Playwright.
What it takes to get in
A profile suited to rear service for men, any profile for women, Dapar 60 and above, passing the computer-track selection, and full service length for women equal to men's.
Training
A course of about 16 weeks in pre-military format (kadatz) at Basmach.
Where you serve
In software-development units across every corps of the IDF.
What it is worth afterwards
An in-demand civilian QA profession, with possible course credit toward a college degree.
