What you would be doing
You're responsible for setting up, maintaining and fixing faults in advanced communication platforms — from battalion level up to the regional command's communications battalion. You give commanders in the field advanced communications where there's no fixed infrastructure, relying on the systems mounted on the platforms in your care.
What it takes to get in
Course open to men and women. Minimum profile 64. Security clearance required. No prior technical knowledge required.
Training
About 7 weeks at the National School of Communications and Cyber Defense (Bahad 7), Ariel Sharon Camp.
What it is worth afterwards
You'll learn to work with digital systems and equipment upgrades — valued at civilian defense companies too.
