What you study
Biomedical engineering combines several scientific fields and is designed to provide engineering solutions to medical problems and develop advanced medical devices. Besides theoretical studies, the curriculum also includes practical work in laboratories and a final project. Topics covered in the degree include mathematics, physics, chemistry, and computer science; engineering sciences—mechanics, electricity and electronics, control, and materials; as well as life sciences—anatomy, biochemistry, biology, physiology, genetics, pharmacology, and more.
