What you study
The curriculum for the Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences degree lasts 3 years and aims to give students knowledge of human biology in its various aspects and how it is expressed in the normal and abnormal functioning of the human body.
Medical sciences include almost all disciplines related to medicine, except for clinical skills. The degree provides a broad foundation of knowledge in human biology and an understanding of the mechanisms of life processes—including the biological basis of human behavior in health and normal functioning, on the one hand, and in illness and impaired functioning, on the other. The studies include preclinical courses, including anatomy, histology, clinical molecular biology, medical genetics, bioinformatics and medical data mining, pathology, physiology, clinical microbiology, the structure and function of the human brain, systems physiology, immunology, laboratory methods, and more.
