- Applicants from special populations will be admitted with a dentistry suitability score threshold lower than that for the general population, by up to one standard deviation from the average score of students admitted in the same cohort, based on the cutoff for students admitted in the first round of that admissions cycle. However, no accommodation will be made for the spatial vision test or the knowledge test scores.
For adults and those who have studied before2
Admission screening based on a bachelor's degree
- Applicants with a bachelor's degree from an academic institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education, who completed the degree with an average of at least 85 in the following fields: engineering, natural sciences, life sciences and exact sciences, agriculture/veterinary medicine, biotechnology, medical sciences, pharmacy, and medical laboratory sciences. These applicants are exempt from the psychometric exam and knowledge tests. Applicants in this track will take only the spatial perception test.
Consideration based on excellence in a bachelor's degree
- Applicants with a bachelor's degree from a recognized academic institution who completed a degree in any field with a grade of at least 90 are exempt from the psychometric exam. These applicants must take the basic knowledge tests and spatial perception test.
- Applicants with a bachelor's degree must meet the other threshold requirements listed under registration threshold requirements.
These are minimum requirements: meeting them does not by itself guarantee admission.
For every track
- English proficiency – A score of at least 120 on the psychometric exam or Amirnet exam, or a score of 377 on the verbal section of the SAT, or eligibility for a degree, or successful completion of a course at Advanced A level, as approved by the Language Studies Unit.
- Knowledge of Hebrew – holders of a bagrut certificate in a language other than Hebrew must score at least 105 on the Yaelnet exam and reach exemption level by the beginning of the second academic year; all applicants must demonstrate a level of proficiency in Hebrew.
- The knowledge test is a basic-level test in mathematics and in one of two alternatives, chemistry or physics. It will cover material equivalent to 3 bagrut units in chemistry or 4 bagrut units in physics, and 4 bagrut units in mathematics.
- Israeli citizens or permanent residents.
- Holders of an Israeli bagrut certificate, graduates of a recognized pre-academic mechina in a natural sciences/exact sciences track, holders of a foreign high-school diploma equivalent to an Israeli bagrut certificate, or graduates of a bachelor's degree program at an academic institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education.
- Bagrut in mathematics at 4 units or higher with a “passing” grade, or completion of the mechina specified below; applicants who do not have 4 units in mathematics and have taken a mathematics course as part of a degree must submit a request, which will be considered through the inquiry system, together with a transcript and syllabus, no later than the end of registration.
- Applicants with a mechina and/or a bachelor's degreeA university pre-academic mechina recognized by Tel Aviv University, with a grade of at least 90 (without bonus points), in the exact sciences or natural sciences track, is equivalent to bagrut in mathematics at 4 units.
- Mechina students completing their studies this year may not apply for the 2026/27 academic year, but only for the 2027/28 academic year.
