Admission through the transfer pathway from The Open University of Israel

- Admission to the second year of the University of Haifa’s Information Systems department through the transfer track will be based solely on achievements at the Open University. Admission is guaranteed to every student who takes courses 1–8 in the equivalency table below at the Open University and earns an average grade of 85 or higher in them.
- Students with an average grade of 80 or higher may also apply to the department. The department will admit applicants from this group according to its capacity and their grade levels.
- Students seeking to transfer to the University of Haifa’s Information Systems department through the transfer track must begin their studies in the department no later than 6 years after taking the first course in the course group at the Open University, and no later than 1 year after most recently taking a course from the group.
- Students in the transfer track who do not complete the Open University’s English requirements before transferring to the University of Haifa must earn a score of at least 100 in English on the psychometric exam, or a score of at least 200 on the Amirnet exam (formerly the Amiram exam), or meet the Open University’s requirements for an English course at Basic level or higher. Anyone who does not meet one of these requirements will not be able to enter the second year at the University of Haifa.
- A score on the Hebrew proficiency test (Yael exam) is required for applicants whose high school language of instruction was not Hebrew and/or who did not take the psychometric exam in Hebrew.
These are minimum requirements: meeting them does not by itself guarantee admission.
