Admission through the transfer pathway from The Open University of Israel
- Admission without a psychometric exam is possible through the Open University of Israel transfer tracks
- Admission to the department through the transfer track will be based exclusively on achievements in Open University courses. The department undertakes to accept as second-year students those who have completed all the courses included in the transfer track requirements with an average grade of 90 or higher.
- Progression to the second year at the University of Haifa is conditional, among other things, on completing the English requirements. Therefore, an English exemption (whether by taking the Amirnet exam (formerly the Amiram exam) or by taking an English course: Advanced B level at the Open University) is a necessary condition for progression through the transfer track.
- The admission assurance conditions below apply only to admission to the Department of Psychology. Those wishing to be admitted to a double major in Psychology must also secure admission to the second department, either by meeting that department's admission requirements or by meeting the requirements of its transfer track (if one exists).
- Students seeking admission to the Department of Psychology at the University of Haifa through the transfer track must begin their studies in the department no later than 6 years after taking their first course from the equivalency table at the Open University.
- Applicants whose high school language of instruction was not Hebrew and/or who did not take the psychometric exam in Hebrew must receive a score on the Yael exam (Hebrew proficiency test).
These are minimum requirements: meeting them does not by itself guarantee admission.
The requirements are in the institution's words. Names and labels marked "our wording" are our own, written from the same page.
