What you study

The art world, like the world as a whole, is becoming multi-domain—and with a bachelor's degree from the multidisciplinary program in the arts at the Faculty of the Arts at Tel Aviv University, your knowledge and ability to observe will also be in demand: at cultural and arts institutions, museums and galleries, on television, in theater, in teaching and in training.

The studies focus on viewing works of art from a broad perspective that connects different art forms, culture, and society, and offer a humanistic, intellectual, sociological, and philosophical framework for the study of art and culture. The curriculum introduces students to all fields of art: painting, sculpture, photography, video, architecture, music, performance, performing arts, dance and theater, film, television, and digital media. It provides historical and theoretical knowledge, an in-depth look at key trends and creators in Israel and around the world, and an introduction to tools for criticism and research.
