What you would be doing
You serve in one of the air-defense weapon systems — Iron Dome, David's Sling, or Patriot (Arrow) — deployed at sites nationwide, working with the Air Force to protect Israeli civilians against rockets, missiles and enemy aircraft. Your exact role depends on which system or weapon your battery operates.
What it takes to get in
For men — profile 72 and above, depending on the medical condition; for women — profile 72 and above, plus passing the female-combat-soldier selection and a commitment to serve as long as men do, including active reserve duty. BMI: 17–35.
Training
Basic training 03, then a 14-week course.
Where you serve
In one of the batteries deployed from north to south, operating one of the weapon systems (Iron Dome, David's Sling, tactical).
