Air Force Technological Reserve

You spend two years before enlistment studying toward a technician or engineer diploma — in electronics, mechanics, electrical systems, IT or mechatronics — with the Air Force covering 80% of tuition. After the draft you join the Air Force's technological wing, maintaining, repairing and developing the corps' systems. From there you can move into command and instructor roles, further engineering studies, classified positions, or airborne technical roles.

Profile 64 and above. Open to graduates of any high-school track, not just technical ones. You need to pass a selection process, including an exposure event, to get in.

Two years of study at one of the colleges nationwide, tironut 02, and 8-16 weeks of further training.

Studies take place at one of the colleges spread around the country; the professional course runs at the technical trades school on the technical base in Haifa. Service itself is on one of the Air Force bases, mostly closed-base, with a few open-base positions.

You come out with a technician-engineer diploma, academic study experience, and practice working under pressure and managing your time.
