What you would be doing
All air activity around a flight base is run from the control tower. You direct aircraft, help planes and helicopters in trouble due to malfunctions, control ground movement on base, and take part in Air Force operations such as scrambling jets and helicopters. You operate communications systems and airspace-picture systems.
What it takes to get in
Men with profile 45–64 and women with profile 45 and above, Dapar 60 and above, Yom Ha-MEA: management and organization 2+, information processing 3+, teamwork 3+, maturity 3+, effort and persistence 3+, sustained attention 3+, spatial perception 3+, a security clearance, medical checks, a commitment to serve under the "a woman's duty equals a man's" rule.
Training
Basic training 02, then a 9-week course, at the School of Flight Control at Uvda base.
Where you serve
In the control towers of the Air Force's flight bases, closed-base.
