What you would be doing

You defend all of the IDF's networks against cyberattacks — detecting, investigating and stopping advanced cyber threats. You run digital forensic investigations to trace where an attack came from and what it hit, and you sometimes attack the system yourself, as a red team, to find its weak points.

What it takes to get in

Dapar 70 and above (men with a combat profile need 80 and above plus 10 study units in computer science), security clearance before enlistment, a 2-year career-service (keva) commitment.

Training

About a 19-week course at Basmach, run as a pre-military course (kdatz).

What it is worth afterwards

Deep skills in information security, forensics and cyberattack analysis.
