What you would be doing
You join an elite technological unit doing research and development in the electromagnetic spectrum — a new dimension of modern warfare. You develop software and work on signal processing, algorithms and machine learning alongside software engineers and researchers, building breakthrough technologies that give the IDF an edge in controlling the spectrum.
What it takes to get in
Must pass the Communications Corps computer-track selection, followed by a dedicated selection for the unit. Open to men and women. Men with a combat profile need 10 study units in a technology-related subject or a technical degree. Dapar 70 and above. Security clearance required before enlistment. No prior computer knowledge required — logical thinking matters more.
Training
14–19 weeks at a closed base.
