What you would be doing
You connect the world of software development with cloud infrastructure, automating processes so army systems run without failures and update themselves. Four months of intensive study cover cloud, containers, operating systems and development languages — then real work either on infrastructure or on the pipeline connecting development to the cloud (CI/CD).
What it takes to get in
Dapar 70 and above (for men with a combat-eligible profile, Dapar 80 and above plus 10 computer study units or a technology degree), passing the computer-track selection, security clearance, and a one-year career-service (keva) commitment.
Training
A course of about 18 weeks at Basmach in pre-military format.
Where you serve
DevOps-IT: cloud and infrastructure centers across every corps. DevOps-SRE: software-development units across every corps.
What it is worth afterwards
A course unique to the army and not taught at civilian institutions — Basmach trains most of the DevOps specialists working at civilian companies, with course credit toward a computer-science degree.

- Analysis and thinking
- A trade for civilian life
