Home Front Command Officer Track

This track channels soldiers already flagged as officer material into the Home Front Command — the corps responsible for protecting the population and running rescue efforts in emergencies. You go through foundational training, an instructor course in search-and-rescue or CBRN defense, months attached to different units for hands-on experience, and a multi-stage officer-selection process, before heading into officer course itself. Along the way you get a personal mentor as part of a dedicated support track, ending up as an officer in areas like command and training, operations, CBRN defense, search-and-rescue, or planning.

Profile 72 and above for women, profile 45 and above for men not designated for combat roles, Dapar 60 and above. For women, Yom Ha-MEA marks: instruction 3+, command 2+, human relations 2+, maturity 3+.

Foundational training (4 months): a one-month tironut 02 at the Home Front Command and Rear Professions School on Rabin Base in Ramla, then a 3-month instructor course. A 4-month attachment period at different units follows, then officer selection (3 selection days plus a suitability assessment), two weeks of pre-officer preparation, a 10-week officer course at Bahad 1, and 13 weeks of corps-specific completion training in Ramla.
