What you would be doing
Serving in the Kfir Brigade means fighting at the tip of the spear — you're trained for combat in both built-up and open terrain, from the Lebanese border through the complex areas of Judea and Samaria to the Gaza Strip. The role demands high physical fitness and skill with special combat equipment. The brigade has four battalions and a recon company.
What it takes to get in
Profile 82 and above. BMI 17–32.
Training
30 weeks of training from civilian to rifleman level 07. Recon-company (Charuv) soldiers train for 60 weeks, including close-terrain fighting, navigation, anti-tank, and sniper training.
Where you serve
In the brigade's battalions — Lebanon, Judea and Samaria, and the Gaza Strip.
