What you would be doing
You hunt for creative solutions to technological and intelligence threats facing Israel, working at the intersection of technology, intelligence and science — exposing threats, analyzing them and developing an intelligence response. The work draws on physics, computers and math at an academic level. After a roughly five-month course you work paired with a veteran researcher as your mentor, then become an independent researcher as you progress.
What it takes to get in
Medical profile 25 and above. Requires signing a year-and-a-half keva (career service) commitment, and, for women, extending mandatory service to 32 months.
Training
A course of about five months after tironut (basic training), followed by paired work with a veteran researcher as mentor.
