What you would be doing

the full text, nothing cut

Shachakim is an umbrella covering seven sub-tracks and two bachelor's-degree programs inside Military Intelligence: Havatzalot, Shuval, Amnon, Arazim, Shamam, Macha, Achm, A"m and Amam. You work producing, processing and researching intelligence material, tackling intelligence, intellectual and technological challenges along the way. Getting in starts with a gibush that screens initial potential, held during an annual window that runs from August to April, and training happens either at a civilian facility as part of a pre-military course or in dedicated military courses, before you're placed at one of several bases.

What it takes to get in

Dapar 80 to 90 for candidates with a combat-eligible profile (only the top percentile of Dapar-90 scorers is invited to test).

Training

Training at a civilian facility as part of a pre-military course, or in dedicated military courses at various training facilities. Every Shachakim track requires signing for Keva service of between six months and two years depending on the specific track, plus — for women — committing to a service length matching men's under the Security Service Law.

Where you serve

Various Military Intelligence bases.
