Merkava Mark 3 Electrical Systems Technician

You maintain the electrical systems of the Merkava Mark 3 tank — starter systems, electronics and turret systems — as part of the Armored Corps' fighting force, in both regular service and reserves. As a technological soldier in a combat role you're entitled to a combat certificate. You carry out maintenance, servicing and fault-finding to keep the tank's electrical systems combat-ready.

Profile 64 and above. For women, Yom Ha-MEA marks: field environment 2+, technical operation 3+.

Tironut 02 and a 6-week course at Bahad 20.

In armored battalions, at the Armored Corps school, in the corps' workshops, and in various development and training units.

Experience maintaining complex electronics and machinery — a trade in demand in civilian life.
