What you would be doing
You crew a small coastal-security boat in the navy, part of a tight professional team defending Israel's sea border, thwarting threats and protecting the maritime space. You sometimes take part in significant, classified operations alongside the air force, ground forces and elite units. The crews are small and close-knit — you live, train, sail and fight together, becoming a real family.
What it takes to get in
For men only. Profile 72 and above with no disqualifying conditions, Dapar 30 and above, preferences-questionnaire rating: 5 for combat, 5 for naval combat. Yom Ha-MEA scores: perseverance 2+, teamwork 2+, operating environment 3+, information processing 2+, maturity 2+, discipline 2+. Passing the naval-fighter gibush and a security clearance check.
