What you would be doing
You train to operate heavy mechanical engineering equipment — tractors and specialized machinery — at the Combat Engineering School, earning a professional operator certificate and a tractor license. You live on a Sunday-to-Thursday base schedule, and after service you keep the licenses and real experience for civilian life.
Training
Enlistment and basic training at Mishmar HaNegev, then absorption into the CMA unit and courses on operating IDF mechanical engineering equipment.
Where you serve
Gur base (arriving Sundays, home Thursdays), then Transport Center bases and the CMA unit.
What it is worth afterwards
A CMA operator certificate, tractor license, and real hands-on experience — a trade ready for civilian life.
