Rakia Track — Practical Engineering Diploma for Women

Before you enlist, you get the chance to study for a practical engineer diploma — electrical, electronics or mechanical engineering — while your IDF service is deferred, at one of three colleges (Haifa, Tel Aviv or Ashkelon). The IDF pays your tuition, and once you pass the government certification exams and finish a qualifying final project, you get the diploma. Afterward you serve developing and maintaining modern technological systems in computing environments across the air force and ground forces. In exchange, you commit to 18 months of career service (keva) in the trade.

A full matriculation certificate and a passing score on the colleges' selection exam. Interested candidates will see this choice on the preferences questionnaire.

18 months of study under enlistment deferral, followed by 3-4 months of further technological training after enlistment, depending on your major.

After enlistment, in the air force and ground forces, developing and maintaining technological systems in various computing environments; suitable candidates can also pursue command and officer tracks, and top engineering students can join the academic reserve.

You graduate with a government-certified practical engineer diploma.
