What you would be doing
You save lives in emergencies — clearing rubble after collapses, pulling people out from under debris in Israel and abroad. Day to day you patrol and carry out arrests in Judea and Samaria. This is the only IDF unit trained to handle hazardous-materials incidents.
What it takes to get in
Profile 72 and above for men; for women, profile 72 and above plus passing the combat-women selection and a commitment to mandatory service equal in length to men's.
Training
Tironut 05, 10 weeks, at the Home Front Command's training base (Nabi Musa / Ziqim), then advanced training, 14 weeks, reaching rescuer level 07.

In one of the brigade's rescue battalions: Shachar, Kedem, Tavor, Ram.
