What you would be doing
You serve in the IDF's elite naval commando unit, running strategic operations deep behind enemy lines — strikes on enemy ports and key installations, and gathering high-quality intelligence. Training is long and demanding: infantry combat, counter-terror and guerrilla warfare, a parachuting course, and assaulting and boarding vessels from the sea.
What it takes to get in
Profile 82 with no disqualifying clauses, Dapar 50, Hebrew score 8.
Training
5 months of infantry tironut and advanced training (you're certified "rifleman 05"), followed by stages within the unit itself: combat diving, ship assault, vessel takeover. In total, a year and 8 months until you receive the unit's "bat wings."
